Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making this site usable for every visitor, and how to reach us if something isn’t working for you.

Last Reviewed September 16, 2026

Built to work for everyone.

Cupertino Physical Therapy is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, magnification, voice control, or navigate by keyboard alone. We want a visitor booking an appointment or checking their insurance to be able to do that regardless of how they access the web.

Conformance

Our target.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and more usable for everyone.

What We’ve Done

Measures we’ve taken.

This site was built and reviewed with accessibility in mind, including:

  • Semantic landmarks, headings, and a skip-to-content link on every page.
  • Keyboard access to every interactive element, including the mobile menu, forms, FAQ accordions, and the pain-check tool, with a visible focus indicator throughout.
  • Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images, and forms with labels, error messages, and instructions connected to their fields for assistive technology.
  • Support for reduced-motion preferences, and content that remains readable and usable if a visitor's browser doesn't run JavaScript.
  • Color combinations checked against WCAG's minimum contrast requirements.

We treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time pass: we re-check this site as we add pages or features, and periodically test with keyboard-only navigation and screen readers.

Known Limitations

Where we’re not there yet.

No website is perfectly accessible to everyone, and we want to be upfront about the parts of this site we don’t fully control:

  • Live Google reviews widget (in the "Don't take our word for it" section): this is a third-party embed from Elfsight. We've verified it has a working text alternative if it fails to load, but its internal keyboard and screen-reader behavior is controlled by that vendor, not by us.
  • Embedded Google Maps (clinic location and provider network): these are third-party embeds; the map itself may not be fully operable by keyboard inside its own frame, so we always pair it with a plain-text address and phone number as an alternative way to find us.
  • Downloadable PDF (the provider referral / prescription form): it is tagged for screen readers and has real selectable text, but its internal document title is untidy and its reading order isn’t perfectly linear. A text version of everything on the form is available on the referring-provider page next to the download link. If you’d still rather have it read to you a different way, contact us below and we’ll get it to you directly.
